jellyfish
we went to the aquarium. its fine to keep jellyfish in an aquarium, but the manta rays and penguins had some serious mental health issues, the poor things… heard the words ‘oishi so’ a few times (which means delicious), which was pretty entertaining. sea otters are cool, but the octopus looked far too much like a giant scrotum, so we won’t make you watch that.

Plankton, yes (but in this case, “zooplankton” would be a more appropriate term), Jellyfish, no – It’s a Ctenophore, kids. Also known as a comb jelly, though it’s not actually in the phylum that contains jellyfish (that would be Cnidaria); instead, Ctenophores are in the phylum Ctenophora (all weird words are pronounced with silent “c”). >_< konichiwa
